Mechanical blueprint reading is an essential skill for managing projects, overseeing subcontractors, drafting contracts and RFIs, reviewing scope letters, pricing, negotiating change orders, estimating costs and managing risks. This workshop will help attendees learn the different types of drawings, understand fundamentals and the impact of other disciplines’ drawings on the mechanical scope deliverables.

The mechanical estimating portion will help aspiring estimators and project managers learn the process, components, best practices of putting together a mechanical estimate and how to perform risk analysis computations.

- Fundamentals and tips in reading mechanical drawings, including plan view, elevation view, details, schedules and isometric

- Impact of Architectural, Structural, Civil and Landscape Drawings on MEP scope

- MEP deliverables and milestones for Design- Build drawings (SD, DD, CD, IFC)
