This detailed presentation will explore using and applying specific SMACNA standards. Items reviewed during the session include SMACNA’s HVAC Duct Construction Standard, the Fire-Smoke Damper Manual and HVAC Duct and System Leakage.

We’ll comb through SMACNA’s flagship HVAC Duct Construction Standard for an overview of significant changes in fabrication and installation requirements.

FIRE, SMOKE AND RADIATION DAMPER INSTALLATION GUIDE FOR HVAC SYSTEMS
This updated edition provides new information on the mandatory requirements for fire/smoke damper inspection, testing and servicing.

HVAC AIR DUCT LEAKAGE TEST MANUAL
This standard covers revised leakage criteria and builds upon proven methods for testing ductwork for air leaks.
