Historically, falls are the leading cause of fatalities in the construction industry, so proper training can truly mean the difference between life and death. This introductory online safety course offers a basic introduction to general fall protection requirements. Plans, equipment, fall arrest and fall restraint systems are defined and explained. In addition, participants will learn the types of fall protection available and how to best choose a fall protection system for the task.
Please note: All classes are offered free of charge to members, however SMACNA Greater Chicago will bill for the cost of the class if the class is not completed within 6 months.
